CWI Research Semester Programme: Control Theory and Reinforcement Learning
In Spring 2025, the Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI) will host a research programme themed "Control Theory and Reinforcement Learning: Connections and Challenges." The programme brings together researchers and students to explore the intersections and challenges of these two fields.
Control theory and reinforcement learning share a common goal: enabling autonomous, real-time decision-making to optimize dynamic processes. Historically distinct, these fields are now converging thanks to recent advances, fostering collaborations across disciplines.
CWI’s 2025 research semester programme includes a Spring School and several workshops, led by experts such as Aditya Gilra, Bert Kappen, Debabrota Basu, Frans Oliehoek, Maryam Kamgarpour, and Sean Meyn.
Read more about the programme and register on the CWI website.
