The Arbeidsmatchplatform was officially launched in Utrecht on 27 November. Among those present were Minister Carola Schouten of Poverty Policy, Participation and Pensions and Ingrid Thijssen, chairman of VNO-NCW.
Carlo Tempelaars, board member of the platform on behalf of KPN: "KPN is one of the seven founders of the foundation. We think this is an important initiative. In cooperation with partners, we are making technical talent available in a very modern way in a very tight labour market. Matching lateral entrants with AI is very promising".
The Arbeidsmatchplatform is an initiative of Alliander, Enexis, Stedin, TenneT, KPN and the contractors Van Gelder and Van Voskuilen.

Working at KPN through AI
Seven companies, including KPN, have founded the Arbeidsmatchplatform. A social start-up that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to look for untapped potential in the labour market. This is important for the energy transition but also for the rollout of fibre optics.
By looking primarily at a person's skills rather than education he or she has received, vacancies on the platform can be better matched. This will help recruit more lateral entrants and also retain existing employees by providing insight into career prospects.
