As a quarter of the existing workforce prepares to retire within the next five years, coupled with the ongoing increase in the elderly population, the demand for elder care is greater than ever and requires increased support. ‘Kepler Night Nurse’ uses AI and computer vision technology to monitor patients' body position and posture. This enables immediate response to distress signals and virtually eliminates false alarms. The solution has already garnered international recognition, with distribution across 26 European countries and implementation in numerous nursing homes and hospitals.
Joint progress and growth in Amsterdam’s healthcare sector
ROM InWest is known for its collaboration with multiple leading knowledge institutes and medical centres in Amsterdam. This recent investment in Kepler Vision Technologies highlights the increasing significance of AI-driven solutions and the collaborative ecosystem in Amsterdam's healthcare landscape, with the UMC leading various joint projects. By reducing healthcare professionals' workload and enhancing the quality of care, Kepler is making significant strides in addressing critical challenges in the healthcare industry.
